Barnacle is the fast-casual concept inside Time Out Market Vancouver, and we're looking for a friendly, organized cashier to join the team.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming and interacting with guests in a warm, professional manner

• Taking orders accurately and efficiently during a busy service

• Learning the menu inside and out so you can confidently answer guest questions

• Stocking and maintaining a clean, organized station throughout your shift

• Assisting with small kitchen tasks like cutting lemons, slicing cheese, and other prep as needed

What we're looking for

• A positive, guest-first attitude

• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Previous cash or hospitality experience is an asset but not required

• Reliable, punctual, and a team player

• $19 / hour

• Full-time and part-time positions available, 8-hour shifts

What you'll be doing

• Executing dishes consistently and efficiently during a high-volume service

• Maintaining a clean, organized station throughout your shift

• Prepping ingredients and stocking your station before and during service

• Following recipes, portion guides, and food safety standards

• Supporting the broader kitchen team and stepping in where needed

What we're looking for

• Previous line cook experience in a professional kitchen

• Ability to move with urgency and stay composed during a rush

• Strong knife skills and solid foundational kitchen technique

• Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or equivalent)

• A positive attitude and team-first approach -- we're a small, close-knit crew
